Ms. Melissa Anne Mark
Melissa Anne Mark brings over 30 years of dance training, performance, and teaching experience to Ballet Academy of Missouri. Originally from the Florida Panhandle, she began dancing at the age of three and trained with Northwest Florida Ballet, where she developed a strong classical foundation and a lifelong love of the art form.
Throughout her career, Melissa has taught dancers of all ages - from young beginners to advanced and competitive students - in studios and educational settings across Florida and Arkansas. She is known for creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment where dancers feel supported while being challenged to grow in both technique and artistry.
Melissa has also served in leadership roles within dance studios, helping to mentor instructors, support families, and build strong studio communities. She believes that dance education is about more than steps and choreography; it is about building confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging for every student who walks through the door.
Melissa is excited to be part of BAMO’s first year and looks forward to working with its dancers and families as the studio grows into a vibrant part of the community.
